It’s the start of January and no better time to dive back into your business and set some resolutions for 2024!
Here are 5 New Years Resolutions for Small Business owners;

Commit to reviewing your finances each week – some of the most successful business owners check their bank daily and always know what’s coming in and outgoing.

Start saving monthly or even weekly for your taxes. If you regularly struggle to pay your taxes and find it a high stress in your business then now is the time to change that. Set aside money into a saving pot or separate bank account each month for your taxes so you always know you have them ready to pay and you are ahead of the game.

Look at tech! If you don’t have enough time in the day or often find yourself on repeat with simple tasks then there is likely to be an app or software to help you complete these. Research or ask other people for recommendations and you are likely to gain a few hours back once it’s set up and running smoothly.

Do you reach the end of each day and realise you haven’t even stopped for lunch? This has been me so many days.
Small business owners are the most passionate and hard working about their business often never switching off which, whilst helps make a successful business, can often lead to burnt out. Make sure you allow time to step away from the laptop or a break in meetings each day. Have lunch and get some fresh air – even for 15 minutes.

Set some business goals that you are passionate about and gets your business moving. If you haven’t got goals before then start by focusing on the next 3 months – what one thing do you want to achieve in your business by 31 March 2024 and what do you need to do to get there. It doesn’t have to be big just something that with make a difference for you.
Get ahead, get it done.
